Warranties are always conditional on operating within agreed limits. Typical conditions cover ambient temperature range, maximum charge and discharge rates, depth of discharge, annual energy throughput and maintenance of cooling systems. Exceeding those limits can void cover, so they should be realistic for the site where the system will be installed.
Common exclusions include damage from flooding, fire caused by external factors, unauthorised modifications and use outside the specified application. Buyers should also look at response times for faults, the availability of replacement modules and whether labour and transport are included in remedies.

A good warranty also looks beyond its own term. It should state how the system will be taken back and recycled when it reaches end of life, who bears the cost and how compliance records will be provided. That closes the loop for the customer and aligns with producer responsibility rules that apply to repurposed batteries in many markets.
